Cayman Enterprise City Launches Branding for Individual Zone Parks

As it prepares to start site works on its new campus, the focus shifts to making each park unique to clients seeking a working environment that fosters innovation and creativity

George Town, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands (19 April 2016) Cayman Enterprise City (CEC) launched a unique brand for its Cayman Media Park during the prestigious IMPACT16 conference earlier this month at the Ritz-Carlton. The high profile unveiling was made to an audience that included tech giants Google, Microsoft, Evite and other big names in the industry. It is the first in a series of announcements as CEC rolls out a marketing campaign to introduce a new brand for each park in the zone as it prepares to start ground works and site preparation on its new campus.

Each park will have its own identity while remaining a component in the overall special economic zone. Each park’s distinct persona and branding will be rolled out across print, websites, social media and signage. The move underscores CEC’s commitment to create the best working environment for zone clients. The visionaries and directors behind CEC understand that zone companies have specific areas of business and interest so they have made this a priority with project architects and designers from the very beginning.

“Our parks are not a single product, it’s a collection of individual initiatives,” said VP of Marketing Hilary Cahill. “What interests software developers in the Internet Park or the social media creators in the Media Park may not be relevant or interesting to commodities traders in our Commodities & Derivatives Park”.

Ms. Cahill goes on the explain that while CEC’s mission is to establish each industry here in Cayman, they are intended to be independent of each of other and significant within their industry. To help with this distinction in a physical way the zone’s design team is incorporating color schemes for each park both internally and externally as they set up common areas and collaboration space.

For the critical work of creating separate identities, CEC turned to local company Damon Hardie Design. Damon Hardie has worked in the Cayman market for more than 17 years, and has considerable experience working on international brands. His work is present in every marketing tool used by CEC’s business development managers as they travel the globe spreading the Cayman Enterprise City story and touting the Cayman Islands as the best place to do business offshore.

“It makes me proud to see my work representing the Cayman Islands on the international stage, as the CEC team travels the globe promoting this jurisdiction, because we all know that Cayman is a fabulous place to live and work,” said Hardie.

“We work tirelessly to market the Cayman Islands to the world and to promote CEC overseas and the timing is now right for the implementation of these individual brands,” said Cahill.

Cayman Enterprise City has successfully managed to create a strong brand that stands for quality, innovation and service. Now 4 years into the project, CEC has brought over 170 companies from around the world to set up a physical presence in the zone’s five parks.
